The Sheboygan Service Club is again planning for its upcoming Charity Ball Fundraiser on November 10, 2018. Together with SSC, we are looking forward to celebrating this year of service and supporting local organizations. We are honored to be chosen as the 2018 Partner Charity!

Sheboygan Service Club (SSC) is an 87-year-old organization of female volunteers who together donate over 1,500 hours of service each year to local charities. As members of SSC, they work together to produce a remarkable silent and live auction at the SSC Charity Ball, which is held every November. Proceeds from this event make a dramatic impact on charities within the Sheboygan County. Last year the fundraiser grossed over $140,000, and the proceeds were shared with the 2017 partner charity, Family Resource Center, plus six additional charities within Sheboygan County.

In addition, the proceeds help them continue to support safety training for children, meals for the elderly, community activities for the handicapped, education programs and many more charitable acts. Last year they awarded $7,500 in scholarships to nine exemplary Sheboygan area students, who demonstrated their dedication to community service and academics.

Mental Health America in Sheboygan County (MHA) is honored to be chosen as this year's Partner Charity. It is no secret that today’s youth are reporting increased stress and trauma. They are also facing a number of behavioral, emotional, physical and mental health challenges. Our Mindful Classroom Initiative (MCI) was developed to counteract the impact on children. Utilizing an evidence-based social-emotional curriculum throughout classrooms in Sheboygan County, trained mindful instructors teach children and educators strategies to decrease stress and anxiety, improve sleep, and increase focus and resiliency while cultivating healthy relationships for themselves and others.

Become a mental health champion and join us with SSC in building a hopeful and resilient community. Local businesses and organizations can donate to the silent auction or choose to go to the ball individually or as a corporate table. Please CLICK HERE for corporate sponsorship information.

SSC will raise funds this year to make that tangible impact with the local community by supporting Mental Health America. Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at 920.458.3951. To find out more about the organization, visit the website at www.sheboyganserviceclub.org.

Thank you for your support of The Sheboygan Service Club and MHA of Sheboygan County!
