The MHA National Office states, “when we think about cancer, heart disease, or diabetes, we don’t wait years to treat them. We start way before Stage 4. We begin with prevention. And when people are in the first stage of those diseases, and have a persistent cough, high blood pressure, or high blood sugar, we try immediately to reverse these symptoms.” However, when people first begin to experience symptoms of mental illness, it takes an average of ten years before they receive a proper diagnosis or appropriate treatment. By taking part in this training, participants will learn to recognize various signs and symptoms of mental illness and how to intervene and provide support "B4Stage4".
Learn the warning signs for suicide, how to offer hope, and how to seek help to save a life with a QPR Gatekeeper Training. Facilitators utilize an evidence-based, innovative, and practical suicide prevention curriculum to help participants learn to recognize a suicide crisis and how and where to find help. QPR empowers all people, regardless of their background, to make a positive difference in the community.
What is mindfulness and how can you become more present in your everyday life? In this session, participants will build their own mindfulness practice for use in both their professional and personal life. Principles of mindfulness as well as several guided practices will be introduced and utilized. (Participation in the Introduction to Mindfulness session is encouraged but not required before participating in other mindfulness sessions.)

Led by a certified Yoga Instructor and Corrective Exercise Specialist, your company can offer high quality yoga and mind-body fitness classes right at your location with COVID-19 precautions or virtually online. Choose from two main formats: Focus & Calm - a restorative gentle stretching and relaxing class appropriate for all participants and/or MindFLOW - a more physically challenging yet accessible vinyasa flow style yoga class for all levels. Each class introduces mindful movement and ways to focus and calm the mind and body.
