WSPEI is all about partnerships. It helps parents and school districts build positive working relationships leading to shared decision making and children's learning. WSPEI Coordinators are parents that have received training about Special Education through WSPEI and who: Mentor parents to become educated and positive participants in the IEP process; Train and mentor district selected family engagement liaisons to support families and district- wide family engagement activities, including parent advisory groups, information groups, and focus groups; Help School Districts contact families to aid with the State Performance Plan Indicator requirements; Support individual School Districts in constructing strategies for family engagement.
