| In the treatment of children's mental health, I believe in a thoughtful and cautious approach. My first and most important task is to understand each child's unique place in the world. As I gather information, I piece together an image of their life and their struggles. I aim to assess each child and family separate from any past treatment, and determine what approach is best. It is my goal to collaborate with patients and families to find what works. When the time comes to share my recommendations, I am honest. Deciding whether or not to medicate your child is a huge decision, and I want each family to make the right choice for them. |
